Introduction

Graphic user interface (GUI)-based visualization applications have been boosting the multidimensional data mining from complicated biomedical sources for biologists and clinicians who lack programming knowledge, as well as experienced bioinformatics researchers. Currently, the publication-ready functions for biomedical data visualization are comparatively inferior in the state-of-art omics-based platforms, whereas the demand for visualization-based data modeling is growing. Here, we newly developed a pool of biomedical visualization and modeling functions (280+), and proposed a scalable and emerging one-stop web service, Hiplot (ORG) (https://hiplot.org), with versatile task plugins, such as basic statistics, regression, clustering, genomics, transcriptomics, time series, meta-analysis, and risk models. It provides more simple web and command-line interfaces compared with other similar platforms, and is supported and maintained by the openbiox open source community.

Editable table view and switched file uploader simplify the data loading process for most tasks. Data, parameters, and task history can be imported and exported via the JSON files for enhancing reproducibility. A single R language script or function can be used to generate the web front-end interface, command-line interface, and the meta description of a Hiplot (ORG) plugin.
